You must be on time and show your driver’s license. THE DOORS WILL BE LOCKED AT 8:00 AM.
Written Examination will start immediately after Orientation
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be able to speak and read the English Language
- Minimum 21 – 35 years of age (unless otherwise provided by Statute)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Be of good moral character and be able to perform all the duties and tasks assigned to a Worth Police Officer.
- Be free from the use of illegal drugs.
Applicants must successfully pass:
- Written exam
- Polygraph exam
- Drug screen
- Oral interview
- Background investigation
Applicants must also meet the criteria established by Illinois State Statutes and the Worth Police and Fire Commissioners.
After a conditional job offer, but prior to actual employment, a candidate must pass a medical exam and psychological exam, all in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
