As you arrive on campus this fall, you’re stepping into an exciting new chapter—one filled with new opportunities to learn about who you are as a college student and where you hope to go in your career and life. For some of you, this may be the first time that you are developing a vision of your future life after college.

You don’t need to have all the answers right away. College is about exploration—trying new things, meeting new people, and discovering what inspires you. But it’s also a time to begin building the skills, experiences, and connections that will shape your path after graduation.
Here are a few simple ways to get started on exploring who you are:
- Get involved. Use EngageBSU to explore opportunities to join clubs (there are almost 200!) and participate in events developed by offices across campus.
- Explore your interests. Take a variety of classes, ask questions, and pay attention to what excites you.
- Schedule an appointment with Career Services and Internships. We can help you explore majors and career paths, find internships, and build your resume.
You don’t have to do all of the above at once — just take small steps over this first year and see where all of the above take you.
Welcome to campus. We’re so glad you’re here—and we’re excited to support you on your journey.
