How Do I Access Big Interview?
Current BSU students can login to Big Interview at https://bridgewaterstate.biginterview.com/login through Single Sign-On when logged into your BSU account.
BSU alumni also have access to Big Interview at https://bridgewaterstatealumni.biginterview.com/. Create an account using registration code “5600”.
How Do I Access the Mock Interview Tool?
- Login to Big Interview
- Click on “Interviews” at top of the page
- Under the Practice heading, select from “Practice Sets” or “Interview Roulette”
“Practice Sets” allows you to select mock interviews based on industry, general questions, government jobs-based questions, college admission questions, competency/skillset focused questions and questions commonly asked of veterans. If “Interview Roulette” is selected, random interview questions will be asked.
- Before your mock interview begins, Big Interview will provide a choice between eye tracking calibration or to practice without eye tracking. The benefit of selecting eye tracking calibration is that you will receive AI feedback on your eye contact. Follow the prompts provided and click on “start practicing.”
- Click on the “play” button to hear the question from the interviewer. When you are ready to respond, click on the red “start recording” button. Please note that if you are struggling with how to answer a question, click on the “tips” button in the bottom right corner of the interviewer’s screen.
- Upon completing your response, click on “save answer” to generate AI feedback. If you do not save your answer, you will not receive feedback. Note: if your answers are under 30 seconds, AI will not provide feedback because your response is too short.
How Do I Access AI Feedback on My Mock Interview Responses?
You have two options to review AI generated feedback on the mock interview questions you answered.
- After you have completed and saved your answer, AI will process your answer. Once it has finished processing, a prompt will show up on your screen stating that AI feedback for that question is ready and if you would you like to “check it now.” If you would like to review AI feedback after each question, simply click on the gold “Check AI Feedback” button. If you would prefer reviewing all the AI feedback at the conclusion of the interview, you can do so, by clicking on the white “Check Later” button.
- At the conclusion of your mock interview, you can access AI feedback by clicking on “Interviews” at the top of the page. Under the Practice heading, click on “My Videos”. You can now review answers to all the questions that you saved as well as access AI feedback by clicking on the badge icon under the AI score column.
AI feedback will help you see where you might be sabotaging your overall impression with minor behaviors that can be fixed. And will give you advice on how to fix them. AI Feedback assesses your rate of speech, answer relevance, um counter, vocabulary, filler words, pause counter, eye contact, negative tone, length, authenticity score, volume and lighting. Based upon these criteria, you will be provided with an AI score of Gold, Silver and so on.
